The Nina Valley Tramp is a beautiful River Valley 22km walk with lovely flats, a gorgeous river and a nice hut to rest in. The return trip via the tops is a challenge but one that allows you to experience wide ranging views. Click here for more info on the track.

Day 1 Friday 6th Jan (8.0km/3hrs)
9:00am - Assemble at 186 Main South Rd. Drive to Palmer Lodge
11:00am - Start walking
2:00pm - Arrive Nina Valley Hut and have lunch
2:30pm - Enjoy the place, explore, swim, etc.

Day 2 Saturday 7th Jan (14km/7hrs) (Option 1)
7:30am - Get up have breakfast etc.
8:30am - Start walking up to the Devilskin Biv and back along the tops.
12noon - Lunch
4:00pm - Arrive at car at Palmer Lodge
6:00pm - Arrive Greymouth.

Day 2 Saturday 7th Jan (8km/3hrs) (Option 2)
7:30am - Get up have breakfast etc.
8:30am - Return back down the Valley if the weather bad or people not keen.
12noon - Arrive at car at Palmer Lodge, have lunch
12:30pm - Maybe stop off at Maruia for a soak in hot pools
2:30pm - Arrive Greymouth or a couple of hours later if we stop at Maruia.

Cost
$5.10 for a hut hut ticket for 18+. $2.50 for under 18. Buy your ticket from the information centre at the Railway Station. No ticket no tramp.
$10 towards petrol.

Other
- Take food for 3 lunches, 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals as well as normal snacks etc.
- Have allowed an extra day of food for emergencies.
- Re-pack food into plastic bags to reduce waste, keep instructions
